Graphics & Generation Engineer (Senior+)

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Graphics & Generation Engineer to evolve how we transform text into visuals. You'll work at the intersection of AI and graphics, specializing in idea, data, and flow visualization systems that generate numerous types of professional graphics.

Key Responsibilities

• Scale the text-to-graphics pipeline for millions of users
• Turn subjective feature targets into measurable results, optimizing for visual quality and user satisfaction
• Design intelligent layout algorithms for idea, data, and flow visualizations
• Build template systems for dynamic SVG generation, manipulation, and rendering
• Architect and maintain high-performance rendering pipelines capable of handling concurrent generation requests at scale
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate user needs into technical specifications for new visualization types
• Build and maintain reusable component libraries and design tokens for consistent visual output
• Implement caching, lazy rendering, and other performance strategies to minimize latency in graphics generation

Qualifications

• Significant work and experience in web rendering optimizations
• Expertise in SVG generation, rendering, and optimization
• Background in heavy optimisation on web-based rendering pipelines
• Ability to quantify and measure subjective quality improvements
• Familiarity with AI/ML model integration, particularly generative models for layout, design, or image synthesis
• Solid understanding of web rendering engines and browser-based graphics (Canvas API, WebGL, or SVG DOM)
• Proficiency in working with vector and raster image formats, and understanding their trade-offs
• Background in data visualization and flow diagram generation
